Great first episode =) It definitely sounds like you’ve done this before!! I couldn’t help but be distracted by the GORGEOUS stash behind you. What kind of cabinets are you using for your stash display?
May 1, 2011 at 10:55 pm
Hi Debbi,
Thanks for your comments. The cabinets are brand new, just set them up yesterday. They are the Billy Cabinets from Ikea. For the past two years, I have wanted my husband to build me some cabinets for my yarn storage. In that time, I have changed my mind over and over again about exactly what I want, but after seeing similar cabinets on The Proverbial Knitter Podcast and Round The Twist Podcast my mind was made up about what I wanted. It is so lovely to be able to reach in and touch my yarn, before I had the yarn stored in bins that I had stacked up and it wasn’t very easy to get to everything.
Thanks again for watching and I hope you come back for more. And actually this was my very first podcast EVER. I was so nervous that I would screw up so many times it would get annoying, but it went much better than I expected.

Great first episode! I will definitely be watching in the future. 🙂 I love your stash cabinets!
Thanks so much for mentioning my combed top, I hope you are enjoying spinning it up.
I would love if you stop by and share your pictures of your finished handspun or projects from it on my Rav group. http://www.ravelry.com/groups/llady-llama-fiber-co
One of my favorite things is seeing how our yarn and spinning fiber works up into customer’s projects. We do give out a little reward for people that do, in case that is tempting for you. 😉

Thanks for watching. I am definitely loving the fiber, and will absolutely stop by the Ravelry Group to post pictures once it has been completed.

Hey Coggie, glad you enjoyed it, and I am also glad you encouraged me to go for it. Being on your podcast really helped with my nerves.

Hey Tina!
Really enjoyed seeing your videocast…and my first thought was “where did she get those lovely cabinets?!” Now I see that I was not alone in drooling over them…so off to Ikea I will go…again.
Keep it up, I will definitely be watching for you.
And, I fully intend to drop by the knitting chat room, but totally forgot what day you had it set up for. Was it a success, are you doing that again?
Oh…immediately went out and grabbed the Respect the Spindle digital download for $.10. I’m still resisting spinning…but I feel the tug to look into it.

Hey Edie,
Glad you had some time to watch with all the time you spend at work. Yes, isn’t Ikea great. Did you just love sitting in your chair to knit? I will be sure to email you when I have the next Virtual Knitting Club. It will probably be Friday, May 13th or Saturday May 14th. Not sure yet since the 14th is my birthday and I don’t know if Steve has any plans for dinner that day. Can’t wait to see you again at the retreat next year, but keep in touch through Virtual Knitting Club okay.

Great job and I like your take on socks!

Hi Penelope,
Thanks for watching the first episode. I spend a lot of time drooling over my stash, and now with the new cabinets it is much easier.

Thanks for watching. I was so nervous that no one would be interested in watching me babble for 30+ minutes. But like you said the yarn in my stash could be enough for keep someone’s attention.

Hey Kristyn, Thanks for watching. Hope to see you this weekend. If not I am going to try to make it to Caribou next week or the following. Things have just been really busy these last few weeks since camp.

I enjoyed it! I’m about to watch the second one 🙂
I’m like you — I eventually knit some of the mainstream patterns, but it’s usually 3 or more years after everybody else.
Love the Billy cabinets too; so I’m glad somebody else asked that question.

Hi Janet, I am glad you enjoyed the show. I think I was more nervous about the second episode, I hope it is okay too.
